Neurosurgery fundamental skills workshop

Venue: ORSI Academy - Ghent, Belgium

Course description

This course offers a modular hands-on training on Cranial trauma, Hydrocephalus and Biopsy, taking the participant through each step of the procedures from planning to cranial closure including shunt implant. The objective of the training is the acquisition of core technical skills in cranial neurosurgery in a stimulated environment with the support of enabling technologies.

The course is designed around a procedure workflow in which each enabling instrumentation and technology is didactically introduced when relevant in the workflow and mimicking the clinical setting. This course will also introduce the participants on how to use navigation throughout the procedural workflow.

Before attending the face to face training, the participants will be asked to complete e-learning modules, to ensure all participants enter the training with the same level of knowledge prior the highly interactive and hands-on sections of the course.

The Neurosurgery fundamental skills workshop, Ghent, Belgium, 02/05/2019-04/05/2019 has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 21 European CME credits (ECMEC®s).
